Position Partners used this year’s Civenex exhibition in Sydney in mid-May to launch its new Roadshow Trailer.
The 12 m-long trailer, which is towed by a separate prime mover, allows Position Partners to transport, display and demonstrate a wide range of Topcon machine control, surveying and laser equipment, as well as other products and services offered by the company.
Elements of the trailer include:
- A six-person 3D cinema, where the latest Topcon 3D promotional videos can be shown
- A machine simulator for operators to experience Topcon machine control systems
- A Komatsu PC17MR-3 mini excavator fitted with Topcon’s GX-60 3D GPS machine control system
- Display areas for a wide range of Topcon GPS, surveying and laser equipment
- Display areas for other products such as Position Partners new Tokara telematics system, and the Gatewing unmanned aerial system (UAS) mapping technology.
“Our new Roadshow Trailer allows us to easily present our range of machine control, surveying, GIS and precision positioning systems to customers and potential customers throughout Australia,” said Garry Fleming, Position Partners’ NSW general manager.
“As Australia’s only national distributor of machine control, survey and other positioning systems, it gives us the ability to quickly transport a wide cross-section of our product offerings to anywhere in the country for customer presentations and demonstrations.
“Whether at shows and field days such as Civenex, at events with other suppliers such as Komatsu Australia – which has generously supplied an excavator for use with the trailer – or for standalone Position Partners roadshows, the trailer allows customers to look at a wide range of products, watch them in action in 3D movies, as well as try out equipment in simulators or on an actual machine,” Fleming said.
In helping launch Position Partners’ new trailer at Civenex, David Small, Komatsu Australia’s general manager, construction, said it was an ideal opportunity for the two companies to partner together for joint presentations and demonstrations.
“It lets us show Topcon equipment and Komatsu equipment working together, in applications that suit them both, and it really does add a lot of value to us in terms of having a presence in shows and events around Australia, as well as ourselves being able to go along and participate in Position Partners roadshows and presentations,” he said.
Position Partners stand at Civenex 2011 was judged to be the best outdoor stand at the show.
